Sam Centre at The Calgary Stampede
We want to send a huge congratulations to the folks over at The Calgary Stampede on the opening of the Sam Centre, the new home for the organization’s historical collections that showcases the history of Stampede through immersive exhibits and digital experiences.
Our team had a blast researching the history of the pancake breakfast here in Calgary to support the development of their exhibit for this iconic cultural event. We even got to attend a sneak peek of the centre – the galleries were stunning, and their programming team had us roping, auctioneering, and marching in a virtual parade.
The Sam Centre opens its doors to the public on May 29th, 2024, and will be open year-round to visitors looking for the Calgary Stampede experience. Know History is so honoured to have been a part of creating this space that celebrates a unique slice of the city’s history – don’t miss it!
