Digital Collection Scoping,
Pabineau First Nation
In 2022, Pabineau First Nation retained Know History and NVision Insight Group to conduct a User Needs Assessment to support the creation of a digital heritage collection, an online platform that provides digital access to cultural resources.
The User Needs Assessment included a workshop and interviews with community members, who shared ideas and concerns and helped define the goals, content, and scope of the digital heritage collection. During the assessment, community participants shared their goals including celebrating the beauty of Pabineau First Nation’s rich culture and history while also highlighting the vibrancy of the present-day community. Community feedback and perspectives were presented in a final report that included suggested content and features for the digital heritage collection.
