Municipality of Killarney

To commemorate Killarney’s 200th anniversary, Know History developed a virtual exhibit featuring numerous cultural resources that share the history of the municipality. Many of the resources were provided by community members and the local museum during a community collection event, while other items were collected from digital archives. Know History digitized the cultural resources and created interpretive text to create a cohesive and engaging exhibit. The exhibit is displayed on a custom website designed by Know History.

Killarney’s passionate and dedicated community members made this project possible. Our process began with a facilitated workshop, where we learned about the community’s goals for their celebration. These committed individuals played a crucial role in uncovering and sharing the artefacts that tell the rich history of Killarney. Their unwavering dedication made this project a reality!
