Diefenbunker Museum
Know History has embarked on an exciting partnership with the Diefenbunker Museum to share the history of the DEW Line and its impacts on Inuit communities. The final digital experience will feature a 360-degree tour of the FOX Main site, complete with virtual hotspots and an introductory map. A key goal of this project is to combine excellent storytelling with immersive technology. We believe technology offers powerful engagement opportunities, but it must serve the story.
Our digital team spent a week in the Arctic alongside community members and Diefenbunker staff, capturing oral history interviews, reference images, and 360-degree videos to create a one-of-a kind, immersive storytelling experience. Watch for the release of the digital portal in the summer of 2025.
